How to Manage Contacts on WhatsApp Web

Managing contacts effectively is crucial for any business that relies on WhatsApp for customer communication. However, WhatsApp Web by itself doesn’t offer a smooth way to save, organize, or manage contacts — until now.

With The Chat Quotient (CQ) Chrome Extension, you can create and manage contacts directly inside WhatsApp Web — no need to pick up your phone or switch between apps.

Let’s explore how contact management works inside The Chat Quotient and how it can simplify your business communication.

What’s Contact Management in The Chat Quotient?

Contact Management in The Chat Quotient lets you easily store and organize your WhatsApp contacts right from your browser. It’s designed for business users who need structure, privacy, and speed when managing customer information.

Here’s what makes it powerful:

In short, The Chat Quotient turns WhatsApp into a light CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool — simple, fast, and made for teams.

How to Create a Contact in The Chat Quotient

Creating a new contact is straightforward. Just follow these steps:

  1. Open WhatsApp Web and click the Contact Info icon on the CQ Bar (the sidebar on the right).
  2. Fill in the relevant contact details — such as First Name, Last Name, Email, Lead Source, Company Details, and Address.
  3. The Phone Number field is automatically populated from the chat.
  4. If you want this contact to appear in your phone’s address book, enable Sync to Phone. Otherwise, you can keep it within WhatsApp for business-only use.
  5. Click Save to store the contact details.

Note: The Contact Info feature works only for individual chats, not group conversations.

Your contact is now saved and accessible anytime through The Chat Quotient.

Benefits of Using Contact Info in The Chat Quotient

Here’s why teams and entrepreneurs love this feature:

  1. Quick Access: Save and view contacts without leaving WhatsApp Web.
  2. Privacy Control: Keep business contacts off your phone’s address book.
  3. Rich Context: Add company, lead source, and other CRM-like details for better customer tracking.
  4. Productivity Boost: Eliminate switching between WhatsApp and spreadsheets or CRMs.
  5. Unified Team View: Team members using CQ can see the same structured contact info for better collaboration.

With The Chat Quotient, contact management becomes part of your daily WhatsApp workflow. No extra tools, no manual syncing.
