The message editor sits right in the campaign builder, with a live preview so you always know what you’re about to send.

Personalizing with Merge Fields

Use {{first_name}}, {{last_name}} in your message text, and each recipient automatically gets their own name substituted in at send time.

If a contact has no saved name, a configurable fallback (default: “there”) is used instead — so a message never goes out with an empty placeholder.

[!TIP] The live preview bubble shows your message with a sample name (e.g., “Alex Johnson”) substituted in, so you can check the phrasing reads naturally before you send.

Formatting

The editor supports all of WhatsApp’s text formatting options:

• Bold: *text*
• Italic: _text_
• Strikethrough: ~text~
• Monospace: text
• Bulleted List: - text or * text
• Numbered List: 1. text
• Quote: > text
• Inline code: `text`

Attaching Media

You can optionally attach one image, video, or document (PDF, Word, or Excel) to a campaign. All recipients receive the same attachment along with their personalized text.

Adding an Unsubscribe Line

Toggle Add an unsubscribe line to automatically append a line like “Reply STOP to stop receiving messages from us,” built from your campaign’s configured STOP keywords. See Managing Opt-Outs and STOP Keywords to configure which keywords trigger an opt-out.
