Usage Limits Explained

Understand how usage limits work in The Chat Quotient, when features become unavailable, and how to check your remaining quota.

The Chat Quotient uses two types of limits depending on the feature: monthly quotas that reset each billing month, and capacity limits that represent the total you can store at any time.

Monthly Quotas (AI Features)

The three AI features — AI Reply Suggestions, Chat Summaries, and AI Lead Form Filling — each have a monthly quota tied to your plan. Every time you use one, it counts as one generation against that month’s quota.

When the quota is reached: The relevant button (AI Suggest, Rephrase, Summarize, or AI Fill) becomes greyed out and unavailable.

When it resets: Quotas reset at the start of your next billing month. For example, if your billing date is the 15th, your quota resets on the 15th of each month.

Capacity Limits (Leads, Templates, Scheduled Messages)

Some features have a capacity limit — the maximum number of items you can have active at once.

FeatureBehaviour when limit is reached
LeadsYou cannot create new leads until you delete existing ones, or upgrade your plan.
Quick Reply TemplatesYou cannot save new templates until you delete existing ones, or upgrade your plan.
Scheduled MessagesYou cannot schedule new messages until existing pending messages are sent or deleted, or you upgrade your plan.

These limits do not reset monthly — they represent the total capacity on your current plan.

Checking Your Current Usage

To see exactly where you stand:

  1. Open the CQ sidebar in WhatsApp Web.
  2. Click Settings (gear icon).
  3. Select Billing.

The Billing screen shows your current usage and remaining quota for all AI features and plan limits.

What Happens to Your Data When You Hit a Limit

Your existing data is never deleted when you reach a limit. You simply cannot add more until you free up space or upgrade.

If you downgrade to a lower plan and your existing data exceeds the new plan’s limits, everything is preserved — but you won’t be able to add more items until you’re back within the new plan’s capacity.

Increasing Your Limits

The quickest way to get more capacity or a higher monthly quota is to upgrade your plan. See How to Upgrade Your Plan or Understanding Your Plan for a breakdown of what each plan includes.
