How Do Multiple AI Inbound Agents Work?

Learn how agent priority works when audiences intersect.

The Chat Quotient allows you to create and run multiple AI Inbound Agents simultaneously, each with its own specific goal and target audience.

Agent Priority and Intersecting Audiences

When you have multiple active agents, it is possible for a single contact to fall into the audience scope of more than one agent. For example, you might have one agent targeting the “Sales Pipeline” and another targeting “All Contacts”.

To handle these overlaps, the system uses an Agent Priority list.

  • You can drag and drop your agents in the “My Agents” list to reorder them.
  • The agent positioned higher up on the list has a higher priority.
  • If a contact’s profile matches the audience criteria of multiple agents, only the agent with the highest priority will respond to that contact.

Activating and Deactivating Agents

You can have multiple agents set up in your account, but you don’t have to keep them all active at once. Use the toggle switch next to each agent in the list to easily activate or deactivate them.

System Requirements for AI Agents

To ensure your AI Inbound Agents can read incoming messages and send replies automatically, there is one important requirement:

[!IMPORTANT]
Your WhatsApp Web tab with our Chrome extension must be open and running continuously for the sales agents to function.

These agents work entirely on your local system, leveraging the extension’s connection to WhatsApp Web. They do not require high computing power, as the AI processing is not handled locally on your computer, but the extension needs access to the active WhatsApp Web interface to dispatch the messages.
